Estos últimos días han sido de estar de enfermera... A Mich le dio el fin de semana fiebre y no se le quitaba con la medicina usual, así que el lunes con todo y que todavía tenía algo de fiebre e iba con cara de muerto fresco, me la llevé a la doctora.

Ahí, como me había sospechado después de buscar en Internet más o menos qué podría ser, la doctora confirmó que tenía una infección... Pues le tocó inyección, auch... La pobre ni se la esperaba (la pediatra la agarró de sorpresa), pero ni modo, era la forma más rápida de que se le fuera llendo la temperatura...

Y como la infección estaba fuertecita pues la doctora me recomendó no llevarla a la escuela estos días (yupi, vacaciones, jejeje) para estarle vigilando la medicina y que se lavara las manos y demás detalles para no avivar la cuestión... Así que doña Michelle se la ha pasado casi todo el día en piyama, viendo la tele, iluminando o cosas tranquilas y sin salir.

Ayer también le tocó inyección porque son tres días (hoy es el último día, lo bueno). Su papá fue el encargado de arponearla, digo, de inyectarla, jeje, es que así reaccionó, se agitaba como si le hubieran picado con una arpón y no con aguja pediatrica (que son más delgadas que las normales).

Ahora sí que todo sea por la salud y porque no se le agrave. A ver cómo le va cuando regrese a la escuela, de veras que este mes ha sido de gripa y otras enfermedades.

Afortunadamente Leo está bien, bueno, a excepción de cólicos en la noche, pero pues sólo se remedian paseándolo y dándole masaje en el estómago, ni modo... Pero hoy está muy contento, incluso mi marido llegó a hacerle ruido de pavo, le digo que lo deje de hacer o cuando Leo vea uno real le va a decir '¡papá!', jejeje...

This last days I have been basically a nurse... Mich had a strong case of fever and the usual medication didn't work, so I took here (even with some fever and a face so pale that even strangers could tell she was sick), to the pediatrician...


There, as I guessed after searching her symptoms in the "Interwebs" :), the pediatrician told me she had an infection... So, she had to inject her, :(... She wasn't even expecting it (the pediatrician convinced her she was doing other thing), but anyway she cried, of course... But it was the fastest way to lower her temperature...

And the pediatrician said I had to watch her closely, she hasn't gone to school since Monday (wo hoo, vacations). So, Michelle has stayed at home, watching movies, TV, drawing or things like that, except going out...

Yesterday my husband had to apply the injection (it's three days, today is the last, that's good). So he harpooned her was the one in charge of the injection and she shook like a little fish, poor thing... And she cried as if she really was in a looot of pain, even if we used a pediatric syringe.

Seriously, I hate to see her cry even if it's for her health, but if this makes her feel better, then it's worth it. I hope there's no problem in the school, she has been absent a lot since she had the flu and now this.

On the other hand, Leo is really well, except some colics at night and in that case we can only give him soft massages in his belly and rock him, because nothing else works. But today Leo was very happy, in fact my husband came and, playfully, 'gobbled' like a turkey... I just told him he should stop doing this because one day Leo is going to see a real turkey and say 'daddy', lol...
