Necesito unas vacaciones, ja / I need some days off

No, no les sorprenda el título.

Sí, sí, ya sé que apenas pasaron las 'vacaciones' escolares, que también apenas fue Navidad y Año Nuevo, pero es que en realidad yo no tuve tantas vacaciones. Primero que nada, para descansar yo casi tendría que decirle a los niños 'espérenme tantito, ahorita los atiendo, voy a descansar', obviamente no se puede hacer eso.

Además, hay que encargarse de tener organizadas cuestiones de la casa (desde que esté todo limpio, las mascotas con comida y bien cuidadas, pagos varios realizados, trámites varios terminados, que aunque sea época de fiestas, hay que estar al pendiente de esas cosas).

A eso hay que añadirle que por supuesto que me tuve que poner a trabajar, porque día que no hago nada en mi trabajo, día que no cobro nada, así que cuando había tareas, había que hacerlas.

No lo niego, me la pasé muy bien en Navidad y Año Nuevo, y eso que en Año Nuevo tuvimos que hacer un ligero recorte de planes debido a una confusión económica en el trabajo de Arturo que nos dejó con menos lana de la que esperábamos, pero definitivamente ya pido un break.

Los niños han estado felices, eso sí, y me alegra, Arturo se tomó la temporada con más calma porque no pudo cocinar ante la falta de tiempo, y también me alegra, pero yo me siento algo agotada. Y mis ojeras lo demuestran, jajajaja.

Por eso declaro que necesito unas vacaciones de las vacaciones, ¿alguien que se ofrezca a cuidar a dos niños, un marido, una perra y un gato en lo que yo me tumbo cual Cleopatra a descansar? ¿Nadie? Bueno, ni modo.

Pero eso sí, ellos están felices, lo cual me consuela algo:

I know Christmas and the New Year were a little ago, but I didn't have any day off really. First of all, I would have to say to my kids 'well, kids, I'm going to take some days off, see you when I return'. Obviously I can't do that!

Besides, even in the weeks that there wasn't school, I had to do house chores (besides of keeping the house clean, taking care of our dog and our cat, paying bills and doing errands).

And of course, I didn't stopped working because if I don't do the tasks available, I don't get paid, so in the days when there was something to do, I did it.

I'm not saying I didn't have a very good time in Christmas and in New Year's Eve, even if we have to "downsize" our plans since there was a little confusion with some payments at my husband's work.

What I'm saying it's I need a break! My kids are happy and Arturo was very relaxed because he didn't cooked this time (he prepares the Christmas dinner when we are able to visit their parents or my family). I'm happy for them, but tired, and the bags under my eyes shows this, lol.

So, I need days off to rest after the days off, anyone who wants to take care of two kids, a husband, a dog and a cat while I sleep or simple lay down as Cleopatra? Nobody? Well, I tried.
